Night

Pick a paper and let it fly out your broken window
The street below is filled with flesh, cream and golden rainbows
Hey-hey starlight dips and swirls around the lamppost
Sounds surround the town of flute and jazz piano

Slash and burn a razor song, yeah, lit up like the daytime
A crusty note of TV wrongs hold presence in the sunshine
Hey a candle flickers out red and green and yellow
Ghosts slide down the walls all cepia and mellow

    Na na-na na-na na na na, Ni-i-ight

Buzz of travel all through the night says hi and bye and hello
A tiny eye of cigarette light peering in at my pillow
Hey a miner's tune of dust and damp seclusion
A skinny hole of dark delight, a perfect isolation

    Na na-na na-na na na na, Ni-i-ight

I was almost scared to ask you
But what are you doing tonight?
I practiced 50 times today saying
    What are you doing tonight?
Well I don't know what I wanna do
But I wanna do it tonight
Won't you come along with me and
    Play with me tonight

Pick a paper and let it fly out your open window
Take her letter and let it fly out your open window
Take a chair and let it fly out your broken window
Stand up strong and try to fly
Out your broken window

    Na na-na na-na na na na, Ni-i-ight...
