The Falling Man

Everyone wants to know the name of the falling man
Everyone wants to know what he felt in the end
And everyone wants to know what he thought about as he plummeted down

Say hello to the falling man
Caught on Fuji high speed film
Say hello to the falling falling man

Some people want to go and take a tour of Japan
Some people tend to smirk as they offer you a helping hand
Some people want to live as if the world is their steamed and shucked oyster

And some of them even want to be your friend
They'll give you what you need, "hey no problems man!"
They'll probably even be there when your life splits in half at the seams
(ha ha...yeah, in your dreams)

Say hello to the falling man
Men can't fly but now I know they can
Say hello to the falling falling man

Everyone wants to know the name of the falling man
But no one will ever know what he felt in the end
And only one person knows what he thought about as he plummeted down
That one person is gone
And will never be found

Say hello to the falling man
Caught on Fuji ISO 800 film
Say hello to the falling falling man

Say hello to the falling man
Caught on Fuji high speed film
Say hello to the falling falling man
Say hello to the falling falling man
Say hello to the falling falling man

He's falling
Spinning
Twirling and pirouetting
On a glorious September morning
On a dreamlike September morning
On a nightmare September morning
With the whole wide world a-watching
And I still still remember
But I do not wish to remember that day
Or the falling man
Or the falling man
