Two Thousand Bolts Of Lightning

Two thousand bolts of lightning out there in the rain
Two thousand bolts of lightning watch 'em strip the valley clean
In my dreams

Two thousand bolts of lightning and not a drop to drink
Hair from my head now littering my sink
If only I could think

I see you in the mirror and in the cold sunset
I see you in the plaster, a fading silhouette
Gone from me now I guess
If only I could forget

Two thousand volts of lightning rushing through my brain
Two thousand volts of lightning coursing through my veins
They're trying to take me away
They're trying to take me away
Succeeding now at the end of the day

Two thousand bolts of lightning out there in the rain.
