What I LIke

There was this gorgeous little sunset just the other day
It peeked out through the clouds then was quickly sucked away
I was sure it was still there lost in decaying light
It wasn't what they promised, but it's just what I like

And you might whisper in your coy way the fire's too strong
You might intimate the lonely autumn night lingers long
But to some that's the structure, it's impossible to fight
This isn't what you promised, it's just what I like

Just a statement to be read
From the lips of the walking dead
You can open up your mouth and say...

The trees take to bending, rooting down and hiding from the sky
Something seems a bit amiss but we're too tired to ask why
But you know, it's not easy, we seldom see the sights
This isn't what you promised, but it's just what I like

Pretty kitty on the couch, slinking low and purring loud
I've got a furball in my mouth and my soldier he's saluting proud
Don't you see there's no question if it's wrong or right
This isn't what I promised, but I think I know what you like

	Another statement to be read
From the cracked lips of the walking dead
You can open up your mouth and sing...

Hey hey there honey don't it seem like the fire's burning strong
Don't it seem like the night has just gone wrong
All stars and clouds and dim celestial light
I say throw away your promise, I'll damn sure do what I like
